These Ashiko drums are handmade out of western red-cedar.
They are light and portable, great for backpacking and drum circles.
Resonant base and bright high tones.
Handmade using goatskin hides and
non stretch mountain climbing cord.
Ashisko's are coated with a natural sealer for long life and are
individually tuned for best sound.

Ashiko, a west African word meaning freedom,
is a conical shaped drum meaning freedom. The shell is constructed of wood
slats (cedar or black walnut) bound together with a quality waterproof,
non-toxic wood glue. Each drum shell is methodically carved into its own
unique shape and grain
pattern, then coated with a natural food grade sealant. The drumhead is made
from African goatskins which achieves a broad tonal range of bright high
tones and resonant low bass tones. The head is fastened onto the shell in a
traditional cross stitch pattern using a high grade, non-stretch mountain
climbing cord. These hand crafted ashiko drums are created in the mountains
of southwest New Mexico. Each drum is individually tuned for an exceptional
sound. they offer versatility for beginners and professionals, plus
durability to last a life time.

These are hand crafted Native American flutes. Also called
love flutes or courting flutes. The Native American flute is a traditional
instrument, which history is somewhat mysterious, but is believed to date
back to the Hohokam. These flutes are individually crafted all natural
flutes, no dyes
