Shopping List

unsweetened chocolate, semisweet chocolate, pecans

Food items that are probably in your frig!

butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, flour, baking powder, salt

Ingredients

4 ounces unsweetened chocolate

bullet

12 ounces  semi sweet chocolate

bullet

1/4 cup butter or margarine

bullet

1 1/2 cups sugar

bullet

4 eggs

bullet

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

bullet

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

bullet

2 teaspoons baking powder

bullet

1/2 teaspoon salt

bullet

1 cup chopped pecans

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350˚F. Combine chocolates and butter in a double boiler set over hot water. Heat, stirring frequently, until melted and well blended. Pour into a bowl. Add sugar, mix well.

Step 2

Add eggs to bowl, 1 at a time, mixing well after each addition. Beat in vanilla. Add flour, baking powder and salt, mix well. Stir in pecans.

Step 3

Line 2 baking sheets with foil: spray with cooking spray.

Step 4

Drop dough by 1/4 cupfuls onto baking sheets, 2 inches apart. Bake for about 12 minutes or until firm. Cool cookies on baking sheets for 1 minute: place on wire racks to cool completely.

Serving Variation

For a sweeter touch. frost cookies with a light coating of prepared vanilla frosting. Frosted cookies make an impressive dessert.
