Food items that are probably in your frig!
butter, garlic, salt, pepper, spaghetti
4 tablespoons butter or margarine
2 cloves garlic, minced
8 large tomatoes, peeled, deseeded, chopped
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
16 ounces spaghetti
3/4 cup half-and-half
2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil or 2 teaspoons dried basil
Serves 4
Heat butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic. Cook, stirring, for 1 minute.
Add tomatoes, salt and pepper to skillet. Cook until sauce is thickened, about 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, cook pasta according to package directions. Drain.
Add half-and-half and basil to skillet. Cook until mixture is slightly thickened, about 10 minutes. Divide pasta among 4 individual plates. Pour sauce over pasta.
