Dilled Pepper Slaw

mayonnaise, salt, pepper

Ingredients

1/2 head green cabbage

bullet

1 red bell pepper

bullet

1 yellow bell pepper

bullet

2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill

1 tablespoon dill seeds

bullet

1/2 cup mayonnaise

bullet

1/2 teaspoon salt

bullet

1/4 teaspoon pepper

bullet

Serves 4

Step 1

Shred the cabbage with a knife, or use a food processor. Place the cabbage in a large bowl.

Step 2

Thinly slice bell peppers. Add to bowl. Add dill and dill seeds to bowl; mix well.

Step 3

Add mayonnaise to bowl. Mix well, adding a spoonful more mayonnaise if needed to cover all ingredients generously.

Step 4

Season slaw with salt and pepper; mix well. Cover; refrigerate until ready to serve.

Money Savers

To save money, use red cabbage and green bell peppers. They cost less than green cabbage and other colors of peppers. But by using the red cabbage you will still have a delicious and festive dish.

Serving Variation

Add 1 tablespoon lemon juice to the mayonnaise and top each serving with crumbled blue cheese for a special occasion slaw.
