orzo pasta, fresh basil, chicken broth, fresh parsley, green onions

olive oil, garlic, rice

Ingredients

1 tablespoon olive oil

bullet

8 cloves garlic, sliced

bullet

1/2 cup orzo pasta

bullet

1/2 cup rice

bullet

1 (14-ounce) can chicken broth

bullet

1/3 cup water

bullet

1/3 cup sliced green onions

bullet

1/3 cup sliced fresh basil

bullet

1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

bullet

Serves 4

Step 1

Heat oil in a medium skillet over medium heat. Add garlic. Cook, stirring occasionally, until golden, about 5 minutes.

Step 2

Add orzo and rice to skillet. Stir well. Cook, stirring occasionally, until pasta and rice are lightly browned. Add broth and water, stirring constantly.

Step 3

Reduce heat to medium-low. Simmer, covered, until broth is absorbed, about 20 minutes. Remove from heat.

Step 4

Add green onions, basil and parsley to skillet. Stir until just mixed. Serve immediatley.

Add texture to this wrap by using 1 tablespoon sesame seeds instead of the sesame oil.
